My go to study cafe in coquitlam as there is lots of space, outlets and nice lighting. Staff are always friendly! The food is usually really good but sometimes the drinks (mostly the iced ones imo) are a little watered down. It depends on who's making it, really. I usually go for the hot mocha or flavored lattes. Overall a great spot!

I love the concept of their buns. They have a lot of different flavors, and I tried the pistachio one. The bun is better than what I expected-- I expected a flavorless, chewy/tough bun but it had a great fried flavor and chew to it, made indulgent by the toppings of cream and pistachios. I also had a toasted salmon lox bagel which had a generous amount of cream cheese, I loved every bit of it. Very friendly and welcoming service! It was quite busy. I would definitely come back if I were in the area

I like the coffee buns from Coffee Bun down the block a bit more but the one here (the "OG bun") is also pretty good. Nice atmosphere - it's on a block corner so windows on two sides. Friendly baristas. Decent coffee. Free wifi.

There was only one staff in the early morning but he was extremely efficient. The cranberry turkey sandwich was surprisingly delicious. Cream inside pistachio bun was on the sweeter side but would be a good choice as dessert. Wish price can be lower, so that I can come back regularly.

Hi, I am a regular customer as I lived in the neighbourhood all my life, and stumbled upon the google reviews while looking through the menu and read the 1 star reviews below. It's funny because I was at the cafe last Thurday as well(as someone wrote below, Jan 16th, 2025 7pm ish!) My husband and I were sitting at the table nearest to the entrance, and ordered karak tea and the kaya bun to-go. We noticed a large group of people gathered at the big table - and I think they might be the same people commenting below giving one star reviews. I just want to point out that the young man (and the young woman) who served us & the customers that night were not rude or unreasonable at all as I recall him talking with the customers. I don't think bringing a cake to a cafe is OK, especially when a cafe sells baked goods as a source of their income and to even expect help lighting the candles. Dessert cafes are not suited for smoke and fire - a direct hazard to the cafe and the customers around. A huge safety issue. Those requests are more suitable for restaurants, and even so we usually call in advance or ask if it's OK to have bday cakes at their business. This is basic etiquette as customers. I'm in no place to judge how they "felt", and I am truly sorry that they felt like the service was lacking or maybe there was miscommunication, but I can say confidently say that the employee did nothing wrong. If the employees are reading this, I hope you don't take these bad experiences to heart. Think of the 99% positive experiences you had. As a customer, I am happy to know that the you had the common sense to ask the customers to light the candles outside. Let's make this world a better place, respect and love one another - this is the Coquitlam we love - and Paparoti is one of the warmest and the most accessible cafe that exists in the neighborhood. Great place to get a treat and coffee! The coffee was delicious and rich. The staff were very friendly upon entering. There is plenty of seating inside and out. They offer food and pastries, so there is lots to choose from in term of eats. I definitely recommend Papparoti for your next coffee run!

Great selection of coffee buns and the ones we tried were all so good! Relaxing atmosphere, good space. Highly recommended!

Pretty chill atmosphere, good place to go for a work day and some tasty food! The dessert I had from here was so tasty and would definitely get it again
